Letters
Patent - Our articles of incorporation, as first adopted in 1917
and last amended in 1968. This is the overriding document for
all League activities, as it defines the scope of our operations
as a legally recognized entity (Not-for-Profit Corporation).
By-Laws - This document sets the specific mechanisms for how the Navy League
operates to fill it's mandate. Next to the Letters Patent,
it is our most important regulatory document and supersedes all
other publications.
Call
to Order - Author Herb Perry's book "Call
to Order: Meeting Rules and Procedures for Non-Profit Organizations" was
adopted by the Navy League as our official guide for how to conduct
meetings.
This précis has been authorized for publication and use
by The Navy League of Canada.
Administrative
Orders - This document
provides specific instruction on how to administer our programs,
including organization, personnel,
finance and insurance.
